The Equal Roots coalition is a collection of primarily young and new activists in the Los Angeles area that are dedicated to achieving full federal and social equality for the LGBTQ community. While tackling issues ranging from the repeal of Prop 8 to Don’t Ask Don’t Tell to compensating for California’s HIV / AIDS budget cuts we strive to build a stronger and more productive infrastructure for our community. We believe that by engaging in programs that require the cooperation of individuals and organizations across the divides of gender, sexual orientation, race, and faith our cause for a stronger LGBTQ community will be enhanced and our quest for equality furthered.
